PTA fundraising ideas for elementary schools
Our PTA started last year, our first year and I had never been on any PTA or school commitee ever before. Just wanted to help at my boys school and well you can figure out the rest. I dont have a lot of time to get into how our PTA crew started and I know you don't have a lot of time either. I will make this a quick hit of some pta ideas for your elementary school and share below.

Still feeling overwhelmed in the morning? Try this evening routine to make mornings smoother.
I was feeling overwhelmed in the mornings and miserable. I couldnt understand why we all just melted down and had emotional outbursts in the morning almost everyday before school. I wasnt consistent with the boys, some mornings if I was too busy making breakfast the boys would just go on the sofa with a blanket and put on cartoons until I got us ready for school. Almost every single morning before school felt like chaos. Someone was upset. Someone was distracted. Someone was melting down. Most mornings ended with emotional outbursts before we even made it out the door. I couldn’t understand why our mornings felt so hard all the…

Winter Festival Looked Magical. It Almost Wasn’t.
Winter Festival looked magical. Lights, music, kids running around from game to game. Parents chatting. Teachers smiling. From the outside, it looked easy. Like everything just came together. But behind the scenes? It was a little more stressful than that. The Part That Actually Stressed Me The real stress for me wasn’t decorations or planning. It was volunteers. When you plan a school event like this you can organize every detail… but you still don’t know who will actually show up to help. I kept checking but no new volunteers reach out for this event. This made my anxiety grow and grow. We started asking for volunteers 2 months before…

Need a quick, low-stress easy PTA event that still gives back to your school? I’ve got you. 💛
Let’s be honest — parent-teacher association ideas can sometimes feel complicated, time-consuming, and overwhelming to plan. But not everything has to be a full production. Sometimes the best givebacks are the simple ones. Here are a few easy pta ideas that don’t require tons of planning, money, or resources — but still make a meaningful impact for students, teachers, and families. Flower Giveback for Special Events Reach out to a local grocery store, florist, or flower shop and ask if they’d be willing to sponsor your PTA by donating flowers. For graduation, recitals, award ceremonies, or school performances, your team can wrap carnations or roses in simple, pretty paper. Hand…

A Quick Check-In
This week has been full. Not exciting full. Just… life full. Kids, errands, a million tiny things that somehow take the whole day. I wanted to post anyway — not because I had something big to say, but because showing up still matters to me. Even when it’s messy. Even when it’s short. I’m learning that consistency doesn’t always mean doing things perfectly. Sometimes it just means coming back and saying hi again. So this is me, saying hi.More soon 🤍

How Routines Help: How a Wall Calendar and One Small Routine Changed My Mornings
How Routines Help: I Needed a Morning Routine Mornings used to feel overwhelming before the day even started. On most days, I would wake up, and my mind would fill up with racing thoughts of what I am making the kids for breakfast, what they need for school, if it’s a short day at school or regular dismissal, and if I had to sign any permission slips or any other paperwork. You know what I mean, right? I was tired of the stressful mornings because the more overwhelmed I felt, I knew the boys felt my anxiousness, and it rubbed off on them. I had to stop the cycle of…

How to Host a Movie Night Fundraiser | Checklist for a smooth event
A school movie night is a great option for a fundraising event. It creates a social, family-friendly event where kids can relax with their friends, parents can meet, and your school community can get to know each other. What is a Movie Night Fundraising event? A movie night fundraising event at your school is an opportunity for your PTA, or PTO, to raise funds while families and teachers can connect and have fun. The children get excited about the movie and seeing friends outside of school and parents get to meet and connect with school leaders and faculty. Our PTA invited everyone to come watch the movie for free, and…
